Get Your Irish Fix

Wednesday, Aug 17  ·  Milwaukee

As many know, summertime is the best time to visit Milwaukee. Why? Because it’s festival season! And although St. Patrick’s Day is long gone, you can still get your Irish fix this weekend, August 18-21. Celebrating thee 36th year, the Milwaukee Irish fest and is set to bring 125,000 people from around the area to experience this great festival.

A local favorite among Milwaukeeans, the festival takes place at Henry Maier Festival Park, which is walking distance from The Plaza, making it a great destination for visitors. For over two decades, families have made The Plaza Hotel their home away from home for family gatherings during the festival weekend.

Twice within the past year, The Plaza has welcomed The American Company of Irish Dance, a non-profit that brings in Irish dancers from everywhere to study the art of Irish dance. The dancers stay with us during their practice months prior to their showcase.

Guests of The Plaza Hotel are welcome to partake in all the fun that is Irish fest. Attendees can indulge in a variety of Irish food and enjoy over 25 live musicians. Other activities include Irish language lessons taught by Joe Ó’Dónaill, a baking contest, Irish dancing, mass, children’s red hair contest, the Arthritis Foundation’s 5K Run, Jameson Whiskey Tastings and much more!

We are happy to welcome all celebrating Irish heritage and Irish Fest. For more information, please visit: www.irishfest.com
