Old School RuneScape Quests - The Garden of Death

The Garden of Death is an intermediate Old School RuneScape (OSRS) quest. It involves a lot of gardening and some nefarious acts involving a magic ring. It rewards players with 1 Quest Point and 10,000 Farming experience.

Start by talking to Queen Ellamaria in her palace garden behind Varrock Castle. She will ask you to help her garden and hand over a list of things she needs.

Planting Seeds

If you haven’t already, head to Queen Ellamaria in the garden of Varrock Palace and talk with her. She wants you to help her plant some seeds for a surprise gift for King Roald. Search the tent nearby for Kasonde’s journal and read it. You can also search the camping equipment to obtain a pair of secateurs. This sequence connects to the wider lore explored in the osrs garden of death quest, which ties gardening and ancient secrets together in a unique storyline.

After that, talk with Lyra at one of the gardening spots to get Orchid Seeds. Then, talk with Kragen at the other gardening spot to get Cabbage Seeds.

Composting

Activated Ring of Charos - can be used to charm NPCs, allowing players to pay less for certain services or get choices that are otherwise unavailable. White tree fruit - can be picked, which restores 8% energy. Potion - Turns compost into Supercompost (only works on full Compost Bins). Use it with a bucket of Compost to make 15 Supercompost per dose.

Each tier of compost reduces the chance that Herbs will die (Compost, Supercompost, and Ultracompost). However, this chance is halved for each level of the compost potions.

Stealing Statues

The Garden of Death is the latest quest in the Twisted Tales series. It was first teased during the April 2022 Game Jam and features Mod Ed’s take on environmental storytelling without dialogue or cutscenes.

Travel to the Garden of Death quest’s starting point (teleport to History and Hearsay using the Book of the Dead or Kharedst’s memoirs) and search the tent for Kasonde’s journal. Once found, read it and search the camping equipment for secateurs to climb down the hole nearby.

Planting Trees

If you want to reach 99 Farming quickly, you should plant some trees in your POH garden. You will need a spade and a rake. You can also buy compost potions from the Grand Exchange.

To plant a tree, take the white tree seed from Dantaera and place it in a plant pot. Then, water the pot until it grows into a sapling. Once the tree grows, speak to a gardener. He will protect your tree for a fee.

Building a Trolley

When you reach the garden, search the tent nearby for Kasonde's journal and read it. Then search the camping equipment nearby to obtain a pair of secateurs.

A trolley doesn't have an engine or transmission, but it does have a "gas pedal" that's less like a gas pedal than a rheostat. Pressing it dumps a lot of current into a single gear that's already flying.

It's why they can tackle hills so easily. It's also why they don't stop at Crossfit studios, a raw food juice bar and a Korean fusion restaurant.

Stealing a Statue

In the final step of this challenging OSRS quest, the player must steal a statue from Falador. They can do this by walking or teleporting to Falador, using the trolley on the statue in the city centre, and pushing it north.

The player can then search Kasonde’s tent for her journal, read it, and search the camping equipment nearby to receive secateurs. Once they have these, they can climb down the hole. This completes the quest, and awards the player 1 quest point as well as 10,000 Farming experience.

Stealing a Trolley from Lumbridge

In our newest Twisted Tale, you’ll piece together a lost language and unravel the mystery of some ancient ruins. You’ll be rewarded with 1 Quest point and 10,000 Farming experience when you complete this quest.

Travel to the quest’s start point and teleport to History and Hearsay (Book of the dead or Kharedst’s memoirs). Search the tent in the area for Kasonde’s journal, read it, and then search the camping equipment nearby for secateurs (if you don’t have them). Climb down the hole nearby.

Stealing a Trolley from Varrock

The queen has a lot of ground to cover, and she needs you to help. She will give you a trolley that you can teleport to Falador and then Lumbridge.

Once you have a trolley, use it on the statue in Falador's garden. A cutscene will play, and after it you can push the trolley north to Varrock. You should carry a rake, seed dibber, spade, secateurs, watering can, gardening trowel, and an enchanted ring of charos(a). This will ensure that you can move the statues without being spotted by guards.
