The Hop has been a mode of transportation for Milwaukeeans to enjoy for a little over a year now. Not only is it fun to hop on and off of, but the stops are also great for an adventure around the city. Here are a few of our favorites.

Cathedral Square

Whether you’re finding your inner yogi at free morning yoga on Saturdays, strolling through the Saturday farmer’s market or enjoying live music at Jazz in the Park on Thursday evenings, this quaint little square has something for everyone. Hop off and check it out.

Ogden & Jackson

If you’re hopping off here, expect a nice one-stop-shop situation. This stop features the East Pointe Marketplace that offers a grocery store, dry cleaning, fast-casual food options, Starbucks and much more. Adjacent to it is Points East Pub, a bar and restaurant known by locals for having some of the best wings in the city.

Ogden & Astor

This is a convenient stop to hop off and take a stroll north over to historic Brady Street. Known for its eclectic mix of specialty shops, a large array of restaurants & bars and vibrant nightlife, you’ll never be at a loss for things to see or do.

Burns Commons

It may be at one end of the line, but it’s not the end of your adventure. Just a stone’s throw away from this stop is the Milwaukee lakefront. This is a gorgeous area where you can sit on a bench and simply take in the scenery, or If you’re the active type, you can rent a bike, pedal boat, kayak or canoe. The adventures are endless.

Historic Third Ward

Home to the Milwaukee Public Market, you will know when you’ve arrived as you’ll be greeted by the iconic red sign (as seen in Brides Maids). Step in and start enjoying the bevy of specialty shops, an expansive wine bar and delicious bakery! This flourishing market offers a little something for everyone and is a hot spot for locals and visitors alike. Please be sure to arrive hungry – this food-centric market will not disappoint.

Intermodal Station

At the other end of the line is The Hop’s convenient Intermodal Station stop. From there you can board an Amtrak train or Greyhound Bus and head out on your next adventure.
